Xenolim F1 Xenolim is a 100% male and 100% anthocyan free hybrid and extremely suitable for green asparagus production in regions with a temperate climate. Xenolim combines medium early production with exceptionally high yields and a long, profitable production life.

Cultivation
Xenolim grows best on fertile, well-drained soils. Many years of research have shown that the best results in anthocyan free green asparagus production can be achieved with a planting density of approximately 25.000 – 32.000 plants per hectare with a planting depth of 15 - 20 cm. Xenolim is a 100% male hybrid, so it does not just represent a long and profitable production life, but also means volunteer asparagus produced by seeds

Product
Xenolim has a very high production potential, excellent quality and very good spear size. Even under warm conditions during harvesting the tip of Xenolim remains well closed. Approximately 70% of the production is in the commercially interesting diameter class above 12 mm. Xenolim produces attractive, cylindrical, smooth spears.

The plant
The uniform foliage of Xenolim is tall and upright. Despite dying off naturally early, a good store of reserves is built up for the plant.

Seeds
All seed supplied by Limseeds is subjected to strict internal quality inspections to test germinating power and varietal purity. Before the seeds are supplied they are inspected and tested again by Naktuinbouw, an independent inspection service regulated by Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation.
